Webinar Description

My goal with this webinar is to support dog guardians, including adopters and fosters, as they welcome a new dog into their home. This webinar will focus on the role of decompression, management, reinforcement, and enrichment in setting dogs up for success in their new home. Shelter and rescue staff, as well as trainers working with fosters and adopters, will benefit as well. I hope to keep dogs in homes with successful adoptions, to create happy families with thriving dogs.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand the role of decompression, management, and reinforcement when welcoming a new dog into your home.
2. Examine some initial steps with crate training, potty training, and learning to be alone.
3. Understand the role of enrichment in meeting your dog’s needs.
