Attendees will learn how individualized, humane training approaches, cooperative care, and innovative problem-solving can improve welfare, reduce distress, and strengthen collaboration among caregivers, trainers, and veterinary professionals

Beth Friedman and Wayne Bolen are the husband-and-wife team and co-owners of Canine Companion Consulting, where they have been training dogs—one human at a time—for nearly 20 years. Using positive, research-based methods, they focus on strengthening the relationship between people and their dogs while addressing behavior through a compassionate, science-driven lens.
Together, they bring three graduate degrees, including advanced study in education and behavior, along with multiple professional certifications, including Fear Free, CSAT, and CDBC. Their work integrates evidence-based training with creativity and empathy, supporting both canine and human well-being.
