Dog Bite Prevention Educator
If you are a PPG member or a Doggone safe individual member, then with successful completion of the Dog Bite Prevention Certification, you will gain access to more resources and become your community expert on Dog Bite Prevention.
First, you must complete and pass the Dog Bite Prevention Educator Program. Once you receive your certification, let us know, and we can upgrade your membership and include you in our Dog Bite Prevention Educator directory.
This program will support your community dog bite prevention goals and enable you to enhance your current dog training curriculums. The components of this program work very well in private lessons and group lessons to support your other teachings.
This program consists of 17 lessons with a quick self-check quiz to ensure you have achieved the learning objectives. To certify as a Dog Bite Prevention Educator, you must complete all 17 lessons, complete a final online, open-book test, submit 2 x 30-second videos and complete an observational worksheet regarding your dogs’ behavior.

The Be a Tree Educational Program
If you are a PPG member or a Doggone Safe individual member, purchasing the Be a Tree Presentation will give you access to more resources and make you your community expert on Dog Bite Prevention for school-aged children.
The Be a Tree program is a dog bite prevention seminar for school-age children. This program focuses on fun and interactive activities to teach children how to read dog body language and act safely around their dogs and strange dogs.
The Be a Tree program is supported by a teacher kit that presenters use to ensure a consistent and accurate presentation. The program and the kit have been developed and reviewed by experts and are designed for use by classroom teachers and presenters.
Half of all kids are bitten by a dog by the time they are 12 years old. A good percentage of these bites are from a dog the child knows. Join our growing Be a Tree Presenters list and help educate your local kid’s community.
The program is designed to be delivered through a computer, laptop, or projector, or posters and interactive activities.
